Armored, History and Strategy 2023

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October 2023

You take the place of a general and must lead your troops in a famous battle in history to defeat your enemy: would you adopt the same strategy as the general staff of the time?

That's the whole point of historical strategy games: relive the great battles, think about your strategy, compare it to historical realities, to the realities on the ground, to the strength of your opponent! An immersive and fun experience that the Musée des Blindés offers to all its visitors on 7 and 8 2023 October in partnership with the French History Games Federation. Whether you are curious, beginner or experienced, Armored, History and Strategy offers you the time of a weekend to play, learn, test, observe.

A Bolt action strategy tournament will see players from all over France compete with their tactics and the luck essential to combatants, in epic scenarios inspired by the various fronts from 1939 to 1942.

Friendly meetings will also be held for all those who wish to become more experienced! Two opportunities to meet enthusiasts and share experiences in the world of military strategy.

Games offered:

  • Armored Battles World War II
  • World War II Battles with Pawns
  • Renaissance Battles
  • Game Of Thrones Skirmishes

Commented demonstrations of military strategy games will be offered to the public by more experienced players.

Game creators and experts will then guide volunteers through learning the rules and tactics of historical strategy games, providing an accessible introduction for even young beginners!

Games demonstrated:

  • Armored Battles
  • Skirmishes World War II
  • Medieval skirmishes

Games offered as an initiation:

  • Ancient-Medieval Battles
  • Modern Skirmishes
  • Skirmishes 1914-1940
