The restoration of our AMR 33 is complete!

Our AMR 33 (model 1933 reconnaissance armored car) is the last survivor of the 121 that were built by Renault between 1933 and 1935. With only two crewmen and its weight of 5 tons in combat order, this tank is fast and discreet to get better information. The French army will use it against the Germans in 1940.

Based on period documents, the restoration focused on the exterior of the vehicle, by reconstructing the missing elements and applying a camouflage used by the 2nd armored car group. The unit badge is painted, as it was 80 years ago, on the side of the turret.
